I saw this a couple of weeks ago. I couldn’t believe it was the same owners who still have it.

Paul,
Without me having to hone my interpretation of precisely what gentrification means, are you saying that the new frontage is worse than the old one?
Seems rather harsh if you are, you should be thankful they have spared any cash at all for cosmetic enhancements when the poor guys must be under so much pressure from Wall-Mart and are also no doubt getting robbed at gunpoint and occasionally shot to pieces on a fortnightly basis… You should celebrate having any independent shops left whatsoever rather than lambasting their frontage.
Besides, that sign will look ace in 20 years after it’s weathered in a bit. Perhaps it’s time you gentrificated this damn site aswell, i’m getting a bit tired of seeing scruffy berger with hands in pockets of poorly fitted trousers loitering with questionable intentions on his own on a tube platform.

Wrong again, Beau. In so many ways. Though I will admit that my trousers could do with a bit of gentrificulation.
