The End of the Beginning?

By

Today could be Galloway’s final full day in the Big Brother house. He’s up for eviction tomorrow night. Conventional wisdom has it that he will be voted out and the bookies agree. Is this the end of all our fun? Or only the beginning?

The latest edition of Private Eye Magazine.

Update:

You float around promiscuously, stroking, metaphorically or literally, everybody’s ass so as to protect your own. We saw on the screen your real character portrayed for all to see. And that’s my last word.

Who could have said this? (Via A Long Wave Welcome.)

Ha ha!
Love him or hate him, you’d be mad not to hate him.

I was quite amused by George saying on last night’s programme that he was going to get his own back, in or out of the house, on the people that had crossed him. Not exactly the words you’d expect to hear from a supposedly ‘socialist’ MP working for the good of all people.
George needs to remember that it’s only a TV show at the end of the day. But his real colours are obviously harder to hide when he’s being filmed 24 hours a day.

“I will talk about racism, bigotry, poverty, the plight of Tower Hamlets, the poorest place in England sandwiched between the twin towers of wealth and privilege in Canary Wharf and the spires of the City. I will talk about war and peace, about Bush and Blair, about the need for a world based on respect.”

Of course you will George.

Thursday morning will be cold and sad and lonely without George for me. His trip into the BB house has filled my mornings with such laughter and joy and I realize that until now I have never truly understood schadenfreude.
Thank you George — I think I used to hate you, but I now love you in a very special way.

Galloway is the champion of the underdog and thats why so many people hate him. I don’t care what he did in the cesspool that is Big Brother, on a grass roots level for the people of Bethnal Green he was our saviour from arrogant and out of touch war mongering new labour

Actually Rachel, Galloway was the worst thing that could have happened to the people of Bethnal Green, to the anti-War movement and to grassroots politics in Britain. The sooner he is gone, the better we all will be.

But Rachel, the reason we’re all taking such delight in this is that the man is finally proving to the public at large that he is none of the things you say – he is the exact opposite. With bells on.
Have you actually seen any of his incredible biggoted outbursts? He clearly has serious issues with women, young people and power that I think make him a prime candidate for electric shock therapy.
