Radio 1 to be broadcast across America

By

Oh dear! Radio 1, arguably the BBC’s worst radio station is to be broadcast across America.

American radio listeners will soon have the pleasure of waking up with Chris Moyles after the BBC brokered a ground-breaking deal for Radio 1 to be broadcast across the US on satellite radio network Sirius.

As much as I like Chris Moyles (he’s from Leeds don’t you know), I can’t think of anything worse than waking up in the morning to him on my radio. Although a celebrity death match between Moyles and Stern could be entertaining (my money’s on Howard).

Radio 4 would be better, it might actually educate some of the unbelievably right wing, bigotted blogers from the states I have discovered this evening in my trawl through the bloging world.

Amen to that! I can’t live without my weekly dose of From Our Own Correspondent. Although, since our wireless Internet started playing up last week, I’ve found that I miss the BBC World Service the most.
