MOMA

Continuing the artistic theme from the end of last week…Sofie and I visited the new improved MOMA this weekend thinking that the blizzard (about 15ins of snow) would leave the museum relatively empty. Unfortunately half of New York had the same idea and we never made it into the top floor galleries which contain the most popular work because they were so full.
Aside from being impressed with the thousands of New Yorkers who braved sub zero temperatures to make it to MOMA, and the fact that I actually had a thoroughly enjoyable time gawping at conceptual bullshit, I was really taken aback by the design of the building. It was as though the visitors not only made the space come alive, but became a part of the show themselves through the exposed stairways, and entrances and exits to the galleries.
