Teal Green - as used in the mural - is so named after the feathers of the common duck, it is darker and more green than aquamarine and has a reflective quality which is often found in the feathers of birds. As is the case in most bird species, the males are the most flamboyant in terms of plumage, females of the species are often fairly plain. This is in stark contrast to humans where the adage:
men dally with love - looking for sex
Women dally with sex - looking for love
prevails

I hit the abstract page when I searched for it as well. I'm really not sure how I happened across the link that works. I do have a magic formula (I think) for getting permalinks from the paper. It's in the mail, or will be soon.

Hi, Paul. I'm not sure why, but <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2005/04/24/nyregion/thecity/24pope.html?ex=1115611200&#38;en=973ceb41d585a0b5&#38;ei=5070&#38;oref=login" rel="nofollow">this link</a> appears to bypass the archives barrier.
