Good Game

By pdberger

My apologies. I am so busy at the moment that I am barely finding time to read the newspaper and peek at my favorite blogs. I leave you with this Scrabble board from the other night. Good game, Mr Levin. What was the score again?

PS Don’t you hate it when blogs only show you a summary in their RSS feed? This blog is now set to full text.

Good game indeed; I love ‘airiest’. But what a board! It looks fabulous.

Paul, my memory is a bit fuzzy from that night, but the score was exactly 436 me, 360 you.

Two cool moves worth describing:

You placed TIDY down the top left Triple Word Score, also creating HI, GOD, and AGONY.

I placed the T-PAZ across WOOD and over DIE to create TOPAZ, PI, and AE.

Good game!

I was just thinking exactly the same thing myself :)

I was inspired to purchase this upon perusing your website:

Thanks for the kick in the pants. Can’t wait to see you guys again soon! :)

AA is a word?
AL is a word?
LO is a word?
PA is a word?
EF is a word?

Is this English scrabble?

So these are all acceptable…

AA AB AD AE AG AH AI AL AM AN AR AS AT AW AX AY BA BE BI BO BY DE DO ED EF EH EL EM EN ER ES ET EX FA GO HA HE HI HM HO ID IF IN IS IT JO KA LA LI LO MA ME MI MM MO MU MY NA NE NO NU OD OE OF OH OM ON OP OR OS OW OX OY PA PE PI RE SH SI SO TA TI TO UH UM UN UP US UT WE WO XI XU YA YE YO

I would try and remember them all, but I’m not a complete fruitcake so I think I’ll just watch the telly instead.

Is this how people speak in Leeds?

If you were even fruitier you would know the latest Official Scrabble Players Dictionary includes 4 (I think) new two-letter words:

FE, OI, QI, and ZA.
