Bringing Order to the Primitive Peoples

It’s no coincidence that the best countries in the world are either European or founded by Europeans. Everywhere they go, European immigrants make things better – until they’re asked to leave, at which point everything usually descends back into chaos. Not that they ever get any thanks for it.
Nope, not the rantings of a KKK website or the National Front, but a blog on The Telegraph’s website. Scanning through the rest of Rachel Marsden’s posts it seems a healthy mix of condescension and xenophobia is par for the course. She has an interesting history too.

I am not surprized. Ignorance fills the vacancies in any mind when you are sloppy with the facts. On her twitter page she was claiming that she had been “oppressed†all her life i guess because shes white. She has now protected her tweets. The article is like any other that you can find in any “white supremacy†website. Should anybody be surprized based on her history

What Rachel wrote is complete IGNORANCE. Because you agree with her it goes to show that you have not learned about the true history of indigenous peoples in the Americas and how colonialism has ravaged the Americas, but also white settlers like yourself are colonialized to think that the industrialization and capitalization are the way the world should operate.
Native Americans universally believed in sustainable living in order to respect mother earth. We did not industrialize our societies the way Britain did because we were not materialistically greedy and we would have never condoned smokestack factories polluting the skies. With the world environment being destroyed (Hello, global warming), people will have to learn to live as sustainably as Native Americans lived in order for the Earth to keep on thriving.
I hope you someday decide to take native studies courses(because you were cheated by the system and only taught partial and false history). Try coming into contact with native people, make sincere friendships with us, so that you may unlearn your prejudices and become culturally competent.

I think this young lady is after cash, attention and power. She sounds Ann Coulter crazy. It is true that people sometimes overlook the positives of colonization, and they definitely over romanticize pre-industial ways of living. But these are banal points. Not rallying cries for the oppressed white masses. It is depressing to think that the polarizing forces that have poisoned the American media could be making their way across the pond. This woman should be ashamed of herself. It’s just not cricket.
