Hence the change to "British Ban Indoor Smoking" since it is the British who have banned indoor smoking in England. Although it would have been correct if the headline had been "English Ban ON Indoor Smoking". Andy, I did mull this one over myself but the original headline suggests that English MPS voted to ban indoor smoking: “English Ban Indoor Smoking.”

Hence the change to “British Ban Indoor Smoking” since it is the British who have banned indoor smoking in England.

Although it would have been correct if the headline had been “English Ban ON Indoor Smoking”.

MP's yesterday representing the whole of the United Kingdom voted to ban smoking in pubs and clubs in England. So yes, Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish MP's also voted on this England only issue.
