All Hands on Deck

By

Anyone visiting a restroom in New York will be familiar with the ubiquitous “Staff Must Wash Hands” signage.

But staff at Bar Six on Sixth Avenue must be particularly dexterous considering this sign for staff to wash “all their hands.”

The question is, has an employee ever been caught only washing one hand? Or do they only employ people with more than two hands?

More hygienic restroom signage. (Via Matt.)
And more questionable signage here.

Perhaps they have monkeys on staff?

Hi Paul,
I did come up to it when I last visited USA in 2004. I think it is a brilliant idea and I think they should implement it in the UK-the amount of people who go to a toilet and not wash their hand is alarming. I went to this pub, in front of the urinal as you are peeing there is a soap machine which encourages people to wash. And the other thing is that toilet seems to be the most neglected place in restaurants and pubs a like. I think they should put more effort to make it user friendly.
Cheers Ermiyas

Is it even possible to wash just one hand?

Kind of makes it sound like there is a continual party in the bathroom! I used to love signs like that when I was traveling across Asia. You just never know how something is going to translate!
