A Truth They Can’t Handle
ByI was walking through Washington Square Park this afternoon when I came across this.
I suppose I shouldn’t have been surprised considering the park’s proximity to NYU. Nevertheless, I couldn’t help but feel enraged at how ignorant and insensitive it was to hold this rally less than a couple of miles from Ground Zero one day ahead of the 9/11 anniversary. Then again, I suppose that was partly the point.
As I walked past the lead dimwit ranting about how much Larry Silverstein stood to gain from the “controlled explosion” of the Twin Towers I had an overwhelming urge to spit on the ground in front of him or in front of his pals’ banner. But in the event I walked on, seething, hoping one day they might grow up to regret their youthful fervor, and fearing most would not.

Is that creature in the foreground the lead dimwit? If so, I think he’s going to regret that hairdo more than his fanciful notions.

I’ve actually seen these groups marching at GZ on the anniversary during the reading of the names. A couple years ago during the 9/11 ceremony, I saw one of them trying to argue his point with an FDNY guy.

I’m not sure if I generally approve of spitting actually Paul….. However, that guy really does look like he wants to be a priest in some arcane sect which doesn’t involve too many early mornings or reading too much but could occasionally include animal sacrifice. Sitting here I cannot think of a fashion style I like less than the Gothic look…

Berger, your blog has been right on the money this week. I just spent the evening with a 9/11 conspirator. She was also a moral relativist and a “libertarian,” though I don’t know exactly what she meant by this. She said every country in the world should be allowed to get nuclear weapons and that we should bomb ourselves for our crimes. It made the wee spat I had on the other post seem perfectly sane. Ali, all is forgiven. CJ, you pompous ass, all is forgiven with you too.

You’re right. There were UFO sightings right above the Twin Towers seconds before the explosions. The aliens did it.
We should send in the Men in Black to investigate this.
